Matthieu Masselin is the CEO of Wandercraft. He has revealed the hybrid robotics powering the Personal Exoskeleton. This technology could change the lives forever of people with walking disability by vastly increasing their mobility.
Wandercraft’s Personal Exoskeleton, once cleared by the FDA, could be the only self-stabilizing walking exoskeleton on the market that can help people with disabilities walk hands-free within their own communities. The Personal Exoskeleton is based on the engineering and robotic breakthroughs already incorporated into Wandercraft’s atalante X exoskeleton – the world’s only self-stabilizing walking support exoskeleton. Atalante mimics human walking and provides hands-free, multi-directional locomotion. It is currently used in rehabilitation hospitals and walking centres across the USA and Europe.
Wandercraft’s Personal Exoskeleton was designed to be compact and operate in unpredictable urban environments. For example, it allows its wearer to maintain their balance and control their direction despite being pushed or disturbed.
Wandercraft’s CEO, Matthieu Massselin, says that the company is committed to finding innovative solutions for the mobility-impaired. “We want to see a future in which people with mobility impairments will have a new way to improve their independence, health, and inclusion.” The exclusive unveiling of robotics engineering’s groundbreaking innovation is a key moment in which we will give a rare glimpse of the future of mobility.
